Event Details

This two-day course is an intensive training program tailored to cultural heritage workflows. It focuses on both Capture One software and professional imaging hardware. We will cover proper configuration, setup, workflow and troubleshooting techniques for Phase One backs, computers and DTDCH Capture Solutions. Capture One teaching focuses on workflow efficiency and advanced tools. At the completion of this course, attendees will be given a test to achieve certification status. The Digital Transitions Division of Cultural Heritage (DTDCH) and Phase One have created an intensive training program specialized for cultural heritage institutions: Phase One Cultural Heritage Specialist.

Course Specifics

Duration: Two days of hardware and software training including hands-on practice

Price: $499.00 (includes 90-day free trial of Capture One CH, sent upon completion of the in-person training.)

Course Prerequisite
Attendees are required to complete the Phase One Pre-Course prior to the in-person training. The Pre-Course covers many of the basics on Capture One 11 that we will build on during the training. There are 3 courses in total and each course is a mixture of articles and video, and includes 1-2 short quizzes on the material. Our best estimate is that completing the required material should take about 5 hours perhaps much less if you already have a good understanding of the material. We suggest breaking it up over a few days.

Certification Test

The Certification test will cover the topics covered during the class. If any attendee does not pass the test, a re-test is allowed. Certification requires two portions:

  1. Completion of the online POCP Pre Course including passing the tests.
  2. Attend the live training course and pass the written exam at the end of the second day of training.
